so instead you're going to store them all on multiple machines? what do you think the cloud is for? lol
You cant really call what Apple has a cloud. Clouds are designed to span across multiple geographic locations...Apple has 1 datacenter, and zero experience running a cloud service. MobileMe runs on collocated equipment in someone else's datacenter.
Amazon on the other hand are excellent at working with the cloud.

On a feTw occaszzzions I have noticed that MY CAT HAS A TENDENCY to hacsssk my laptop when I12212111113e'm trying to fill out threadwww replies on 432222222222222222 macrum2ors3. I'm thinking apple might still be AT FAULTQ ON THIS QONE.
My cat is 1 l33t h4x0r too. Although, he's more of a problem at my desktop and he ALWAYS comes around when I'm gaming online and usually at a critical moment. ...He just knows.
I think I'm filing a patent for a USB-powered cat-zapper notebook/display peripheral tomorrow. :D

Are you sure it wasn't UK forces who eliminated him? Either way, you gotta say "he was killed by allied forces".
According to CNN, the United States has his body. So I'd imagine it was the US that killed him... but yes, Obama should cover this.
CIA (http://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/source-al-qaida-head-bin-laden-dead-us-in-possession-of-body-obama-to-speak-sunday-night/2011/05/01/AF1D5hVF_story.html?hpid=z1) operation apparently.

Thunderbolt would be a killer feature for this machine - and would open up a whole load of expansion options.
Sonnet are marketing a load of interesting accessories, from Gigabit ethernet and FW800 adapters, to RAID arrays, to full-size PCIe expansion card housings, all of which can connect via Thunderbolt.
Those CPUs are pretty fast. For everyone except gamers it should be a nice machine.
Those PCIe housings could make for external graphics that don't suck. Whether that is practical at all is another story.

I would beat the hell out of any dude that was in the same bathroom as my daughter.
To give you an idea how mentally backwards this attitude is: In what is probably considered one of the most backward countries in the world, in Iran, the religious leaders are completely Ok with a transgender operation. To them, a man is a man, a woman is a woman, and a man or woman who has the bad luck to be born in the wrong kind of body should get help to get the problem fixed.

"iX" = "Ix", which is the nickname for the character Ford Prefect in the book "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy".
Obviously, the new Apple device is either a digital watch or a towel.
You do realize that because of that series of books I always have a towel with me when traveling.
As to this device I'm thinking the mythical video iPad/iPod, that is a wide aspect ratio sub seven inch device. Or maybe it isn't adevice at all but a planned disinformation leak. That being said Apple would be crazy to not get more iOS devices on the market. That includes more Phones.
So it is anybodies guess.

This new service sounds pretty poor tbh. I probably wouldn't use it even if it was free.
Main reason being the places I wish I had a certain album with me tend to get hardly any phone signal anyways, let alone a 3g connection fast enough to stream music. Also the charges for going over your data limit are hilariously high. Stream a movie or two, a couple of albums and a tv show and my data is done for the month?
Also I think cloud storage is great as part of a back-up solution for my professional work, though I feel it is kind of lackluster for consumer use. Sure the tech-savvy elite may have some use for it. Sure its nice to know some of your precious documents, photos are somewhere safe if the worst happens.

Go there. The Bier Markt was one of my regular stomps when I used to live in Toronto. Actually, I used to live a few minutes away, in a condo right by the St. Lawrence Market.
If they carry Blue Moon, try that one too.
My girlfriend and I have tried to stop by on a few occasions but it's always enormously packed when we go (our own fault for only being in the area on Friday & Saturday nights) and we end up going to Corner Bar up the street instead. But it's definitely at the top of my to-do-soon list. :)

TheRegister seems to reckon it's not due until 2012:
http://www.theregister.co.uk/2011/04/12/iphone_delay/
Based on past events, Apple has generally held an OS Preview event in March/April and 3 months later released the final Software along side new Hardware. If this time around the OS Preview is not coming until June, then I believe that new Hardware will get released along side the new Software 3 months later during their September media event.
This Summer is going to be about Lion.

I don't believe this. Why would Apple waste money on a carrier that has just been bought?
Its unsure if the deal will go through and what type of stipulations will happen. As a proud T-mo customer. I do not want this deal from hell. I love my low prices I don't need an iPhone I am happy with my current phone.
There are many things that stand in the way of this deal. It may make the market a lot less competitive. It would also almost remove sprint and make it a two horse race with AT&T and Verizon having over 60% of the American Market.
It is also quite possible that if AT&T does purchase T-Mobile, T-mobile will exist solely as a subsidiary of AT&T similar to Sprint and Virgin Mobile. Its clear that AT&T is purchasing towers not customer base.
Many of the Android users are going to migrate over to Sprint and Verizon due to the of the inability to side load on AT&Ts network and the restriction of upload download speeds.

I wouldn't be so sure of that. The show generates over $100 million a year for CBS.
So...if Charlie makes $3 million per episode and they make say 20 episodes per year, he should be taking home $60 million of that $100 million? Really? What does Jon Cryer get to take home, let alone the rest of the people who work on the show?

It was a mock up made based on a sketch given to them. It's not as if they had a CAD file to go from.

There is no incentive to go to a Zune. Same DRM, same features. The people who hate the iPod and buy Creative aren't switching to Zune. They don't want to be locked into DRM. So unless microsoft really does something innovative it is just another player in a sea of non-iPods.
EDIT: I mean same DRM in the sense that the download are locked by DRM, not exactly the same type.
That's the funny thing, though. You're not locked into DRM with the iPod. You don't need an iTMS to use your iPod, just iTunes. It plays standard MP3 files and non-DRM'ed AAC files.

You aren't the only person Apple sells computers to either. To a lot of people being able to at least play some games on the go is a selling point that must be met for a travel device.]
I am exactly one of those people. I wanted a light laptop that I could game on occasionally while on travel. There is ZERO chance I would have bought an apple if it wasn't for the Air's portability and gaming potential. Hopefully I'll get many years use out of my 13" Ultimate.. but if Apple cripples the Air from a GPU perspective, I'll go back to Windows in a heartbeat on my next laptop purchase.
Don't get me wrong, I love my air and am enjoying OSX.. but not enough to sacrifice my ability to game on it.

They'll actually scan iTunes for purchased tracks and then automatically add those to your account. Microsoft will still have to pay the rights-holders for the songs, but they believe it'll be worth it to acquire converts to their new player.
If this is true, it will allow those considering a switch to be a no brainer.
Good marketing for Microsoft.

YAH !!! Great JOBs MS between their new music store, hemorrhaging Box, and brilliant marketing of constantly diluting their installed base with new solutions that don't solve anything and overpriced licensing they will be in the poor house in no time.

I agree with the few others that are concerned about this.
Our Mac OS innocence is coming to an end. Part of this is due to the growing market share, and popularity in the Operating system. The other issue I feel that is of concern, is the new challenge this OS provides for Script kiddies, and bored coders. If you have an ego, and want to get your name out, why not do what hasn't been done before, as opposed to doing what everyone else does ?
This is going to be a growing trend, and the amount of Mac Haters in the wild is quite high! Once code tricks and secrets start to get out, it is only a matter of time before OS X is targeted by thousands, much like XP!
Apple has time to take this very seriously, and work to keep this system tight and secure! Hopefully this is going to be a big part of the focus on Leopard, but only developers will really know this!
These current headlines aside
1. Pay attention to what warning messages pop up when browsing the web.
2. Only download and install software from sources that you trust, and if you do trust them, take an extra moment to think about why you trust them, and if you really need to install that piece of 3rd party software!
3. Keep your firewalls on if possible
4. Don't permanently unlock preferences, folders, or other security areas on your system using your keychain, unless you really need to do so!
There are others, however that is a good baseline to follow for some minimal security checks and balances!
And here we go again with the "security through obscurity" myth...please, don't spread such things again, because they are not true.
The mere fact that some kernel vulnerabilities were discovered in an event SPECIFICALLY devoted to finding such things does not mean our OS X is unsafe. It is by far the MOST secure system out there, with 40 million or 400 million users, and nobody has been able to prove the opposite so far.
Besides, some (or many) of the arguments posed by this "anonymous" LMH were already debunked by other security analysts. Just an example:
"Apple DMG flaw not so serious? SecurityFocus reports on the controversy surrounding a disk image denial of service potentiality in Mac OS X. "While the common wisdom in the security world is that crashes are exploitable, Mac programmer Alastair Houghton published his kernel-code analysis showing that this particular vulnerability is not. "In fact, all (the MoKB) has found here is a bug that causes a kernel panic," Houghton wrote in his analysis. "Not a security flaw. Not a memory corruption bug. Just a completely orderly kernel panic." Following the analysis, Secunia downgraded their severity rating of the vulnerability from "highly critical" to "not critical." Several other companies still have the vulnerability rated as critical. The actions follow a heated exchange between Houghton and the founder of the Month of Kernel Bugs (MoKB) Project, a person who identifies himself as only L.M.H. Because of the exchange, Houghton decided to spend three days analyzing the issue and had his final analysis checked by Thomas Ptacek, a security researcher and founder of Matasano Security."
