If someone dont get an LUD, he may still get GC. LUD does guarantee that someone touched your case. From , it appears most guys got GC without LUD's.

I have worked in my organization for over one year in the US and abrod in the subsidiary for one year. My organization is trying to apply for L-1A (managerial category) visa for me to come back to US again.
How easy is to obtain L-1A through immigration lawyers?
What forms do I need to submit for applying this visa
Our company attorney does not provide complete information, therefore I would appreciate your help on the above.

EAD is not a status. EAD is just Employment Authorization Document. I-485 pending (AoS Pending) is the status.

GC can, also, be applied for someone who is not even in US. Kind of status in US has nothing to do with GC process, as long as one is in valid (authorized) status.

Well, my forms were returned to my attorney because of some filing issue. So instead of my EAD as I was expecting I have to refile. Of course I now have a job offer that I would like to take.
My husband (who is a US citizen) is in school and will be depending on my salary. I dont know if that counts as a big financial loss.
Where can I go to find this out. I think my attorney i doing a less than great job in giving me the proper options to choose from.
Any help would be appreciated.

Can we use automatic revalidation to enter USA without getting our visa's stamped. My h1 expired in 2006 and my spouse�s H4 expired in 2006.
(Remember my spouse is applying for H1 )
ANSWER:: No, with Canadian GC you can not enter USA for long term work, without stamping. I think entry for one month is permitted.
QUESTION:: How safe it is Frequent travel to Canada and back
ANSWER:: It is safe to cross US and Canada border, if you have multiple entry visa.
QUESTION:: How safe it is to stay in Canada for duration of 3-6 months and come back to USA
ANSWER:: As long as you are in H1 B there is no restriction. In future if you enter I-485, there are complications, if you continue to travel back and forth at that time too.

This shouldn't cause any problem... My GC was approved in August while i was in India. On my return two weeks after the approval, the officer allowed me in on AP. I showed him the printouts of my approval email and he said you can use your green card next time you go out of the country.

While efiling for the renewal of my EAD i selected the wrong Service center..My EAD was first issued by USCIS NSC and i selected LINCOLN NE ...I thought that both are same, but i soon realised that i made a mistake and iam sending a cover letter with the supporting documents..
By going thru the prevoius posts I saw "mirchiseth" has committed the same type of mistake...and he updated that he got finger printing notices for him..
so guys please tell me if anyone had committed the error..what action did u take and how did it go

This is an option given to me by my lawyer - I can change job within my company to a differenct category, even though Green Card Process has to be restarted, we can port the priority date. So it is an option....

My friend works as an internal auditor within a big 4 acccounting firm. His practice is doing quite badly. As there are tons of different practices within this firm, he is thinking about transferring. But his PERM was filed for the internal audit manager position and his I-140 has alreday been approved. If he transfers to a function unrelated to internal audit within his firm (e.g. external audit, tax, fraud, etc.), would there be a problem?
Can anyone here provide some guidance or point him to the right discussion thread?

How is that relevant? The guy said the date is not current.
I'm guessing the email he got was a standard form email created before July fiasco when having an open 485 application pretty much meant your date was current. Now this is no longer relevant. They won't make a decision until the PD becomes current, and even then they may follow up with RFE about whether he still holds the same position, etc. So pretty much he shouldn't expect to hear anything from them in 60 days regardless of what he email says.
