What are everybody's plans for picking up an iPad 2 in Peterborough? I did consider heading down to Cambridge but the extortionate parking prices have put me off. Whats the best place to go?

I'm looking for a good dock that I can use my iPod nano and iPhone 3g with. I'm going for sound clarity and good volume.. and would like to budget at around $100.
Would prefer one that works with an AC Adapter as well as battery's.
Any suggestions?

Don't the movie studios operate as commercial businesses? Don't they make a profit (overall - some movies flop I know)?
They couldn't affort to spend $100M/movie if they didn't get the money back!
Therefore, iPod sales are 'extra' income for them.
I know that there may be some drop-off in theatre ticket sales if the same movie is available via iPod sometime in the future, but don't they face this now with DVD sales?
It may be simplistic, but why not hold back offering the on-line sale of the movie until they have exhausted the 'theatre experience' the way they do with DVD sales, and then get ready for the '2nd wave' of additional income.
I agree that you should pay for what you have, but I also think you should get what you pay for without excessive restrictions. Yes, electronic media differs from physical media and some rules should be different, but the underlying principles stay the same.

You mean they can't just put out an update to the app which includes a notice about the new HTML5 web-site? They *have* to be able to email it to you, call you, and send it to your home address in paper form?

Does this mean whoever randomly happened to have iCloud.com just made 4.5M$? Is there any money to be made by squatting on those? That seems counterintuitive, since if anyone could do it, so could Apple. Or do all domain names that have the form i[noun].com cost a ton of money for that reason?

Or they did a lot of stuff with it already, just not showing it yet. Since the current release of FCP does not use QTX, they don't need to release the updated API before the next gen FCP. I really doubt Apple just shelved the whole QTX after doing a rewrite for SL, they must have been iterating it since then.

Apple took what was previously a $25,000 color grading application and tossed it into the Final Cut Suite at no extra charge.
ProRes has only be around since FCP 6 and is one of the few additional features that Apple can really hang its hat on. While Premiere doesn't have any first part codecs along the same lines as ProRes it is more flexible and open to third party codecs than FCP is. I have a black iPhone 4 but I think I may wait until the iPhone 5 hits and pickup a white iPhone 4 for $99 as a collectors item. I don't think I'm going to get the iPhone 5 because I have a policy to only buy a new iPhone every other year and I doubt the iPhone 6 will have the same design. I really, really like the look of the iPhone 4 and I always thought the white one was the better looking one that's why I want one in my collection.

I wonder how many of these posts are trolls? I haven't had any issues whatsoever with 4.3.1. I also didn't have any problems with 4.3; battery life has been absolutely stellar and call performance actually improved in 4.3.1.
The timing of all these "bitching" posts just seems suspicious.
I wouldn't call it bitching, but it sounds like there are a good amount of people with very specific issues. What I'm saying is that if you find iOS 4.3.1 unusuable, unstable, or extremely buggy, then maybe you should get your phone checked out because I don't think that's normal for most of us.

I'm debating. I actually am within my 30 day window of having bought a Black iPhone 4 (had to switch corporate phone line to personal liable plan). No way I would pay money just to switch colors, but I always wanted a white iPhone. I think I'll mosey to AT&T, see how it looks, and if I like it and AT&T will swap, I'll get it.
I really like the black iPhone as well, so either way I'm happy.

I disagree. Live under their roof, live by their rules or at least go through the hassle of trying to get away with breaking them.
If you're old enough to deal with the possible consequences of sex, you're old enough to find a place on your own. If you're not old enough to do that, be sure one of you is sterile before proceeding. I say this a week after my 17 year old cousin gave birth after both being on the pill and using a condom. It happens. If you can deal with that possibility, you're old enough to move out.

I and missus are paying 150 / mo for this piece of crap network while you can get 4G with Android for 50. We're paying $2400 (over two year contract) idiot tax just to have iPhones. Unfortunately when we were signing up, there weren't much of an alternatives but now there are. I will never, ever, ever, ever, sign into anything with AT&T after this contract is over.

Can anybody tell me for sure if I will lose all my rollover minutes if I make the change online? I have 5 lines on a family plan and I know that I have to make the change on all 5 lines manually which I am ok with. Can somebody verify for me that nothing will change on my account such as losing rollover mins, losing corporate FAN discount, losing anything else? I simply want to change Unlimited family text to unlimited family text plus unlimited any M2M. Whenever I do an online chat with a rep or call, they always tell me I need to 'update' my plan or something (I am on a family talk 1400 plan). I don't see a reason for this but they always tell me when I 'update', i'll lose all my rollover mins so I have not 'updated'....obviously and no ill effects as of yet.

She said that I will only have 700 rollover minutes after dropping my plan down. I asked again, and this time I practically begged her for help. She said that reps are authorized to give up to 5,000 rollover minutes for a customer in good standing.
She then gave me 5,000 minutes and I was happy with that.
