Under Premium Processing you would certainly get a response which can be a Denial or an Approval within 2 weeks.if you are lucky enough you might get a response within 4-5 business days.

As mentioned earlier, you will be out of status so leaving the country for 15 days is the best option.
You can also apply for extension of H4 from 15 Sep. The problem with that will be of timing. If your H4 gets approved after H1 then you will be in H4 status from Sep 15. In that case you will have to again apply for change of status to H1.

Minimum requirement for Sr. Software Engineer can be MS + 2 years experience.
If Sr. Software Engineer is not your current designation then go with SE instead of SSE.

Even if your status changed to H1 in October 2004 and you started working in November 2004 for a second employer following approval for that employer, I would say it is just 30days and would not be an issue in future GC application. Don't worry about it.

Hi Folks,
It is crunch time! I have 15 days left to get an H1B 3 yr. extension (since PD is current EB3 India, my H1 expires July 30th), so I need to decide whether I should file I-140 in Premium Processing.
How much time has it taken for members to get 140 approved though PP? I value your feedback, or pls. point me to a poll/data elsewhere!

I got mine approved exactly in 3 days. It took 2 weeks actually a copy of the approval notice after that.

I am planning to apply for Schengen visa in an Italian consulate. I have an expired H1 but a valid AP. According to the italian consulate website, here is one of the visa requirements
"passport or travel document valid for at least three months after visa expiry date"
My passport is expiring in 2 years but my AP will be expiring in about 2 1/2 months from the Schengen visa expiry. Will I have an issue getting a visa ?
Do I have a workaround ?

You can use existing visa + new approval notice. Make sure that on arrival the I-94 is stamped until expiration on new approval notice and not the visa expiration date.

COME ON FOKLS - LETS ALL BE REAL MEN - LET THE WORLD KNOW THAT YOU EXIST. YOU HAVE TO OVERCOME YOUR SHYNESS
A LOT OF WOMEN ARE DOING SELFLESS HELP AT IV - THESE WOMEN ARE BRAVE - THEY WILL ONLY APPRECIATE BRAVE MEN - SO IF YOU SHOW UP YOU WILL BE APPRECIATED BY ALL THE GREAT WOMEN AT IV.
To quota an example: When I went to a discotheque for the first time - I was just standing there doing nothing. I was giving all excuses - like headache, no mood etc..... but all it took was someone to pull me in, and after that i was never shy.

This is a very sad message this morning I got to read from my inbox. I am not bothered about losing the pledge, but I am shocked to see only 88 members pledged. The sadest part is that this pledge is created by a US Citizen for IV.

Retrogressed members 350,000+
Why only 88 pledged? Many people wants free ride which they cannot get if they dont want to unite for the common cause. I know most of the H1b holders are paid well and spend a lot. But when it comes to donate, they feel $1 equivalent to $1000. The reason is they feel they are not getting anything in return which is not true and they feel they are smart to get a free ride when others donate.
If you dont unite for the common cause, everyone including is going to struggle to get what you want. But at least the donated members will feel good about trying their best.
